I'll tell you now how I founded this city Brahea.
It all started in 1642, from when I had to come up with ways of trading in the White Sea.
The idea was still only a thought, but immediately after getting the lake Pielinen to my possession, I began to implement plans for a new trading centre.
By the shore of the river Lieksa by the beach Pielisjärvi was set up a city.
I promised in a letter to all the town's inhabitants permanent exemption from all taxes.
1653 a letter was read Pielisjärvi winter assizes, and words were taken down to business in order to start up Brahea town.
Unfortunately, even though my officials were working hard to fulfill the commandment, the people did not agree to all of it.
But eventually began building of the city Brahea at the mouth of Lieksanjoki.
The bailiff Anders Eriksson acquired there all the essentials for two huts and gave an order to have them built.
To underline the importance of the city there were markets, which had to be twice a year.
